UDM student cybersecurity teams score wins in regional ISACA cybersecurity scholarship competitions

Detroit Mercy Cybersecurity and Information Systems student teams won $9,000 at the annual ISACA Cybersecurity Scholarship Competition for the Detroit Chapter. This is the third time in three years that UDM teams have brought home top prizes in this competition.

Detroit Mercy Theatre Company to present "The Grown Ups"

The play follows a group of camp counselors in the world of a remote sleepaway camp as they navigate the highs and lows of camp life. As they swap stories by the fire, form unlikely bonds, and challenge each other’s perspectives, an unsettling presence looms, forcing the counselors to examine their own values and the unpredictable forces beyond the campfire’s glow.

Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching designates UDM as Research University

This designation puts UDM among just 216 other institutions nationwide to receive this distinction. It identifies research happening at colleges and universities that historically have not been recognized for their research activity, including institutions that do not offer many or any doctoral degrees.

Psychology Clinic

The Psychology Clinic is a teaching clinic, for doctoral students of clinical psychology. The clinic provides counseling, testing and assessment services including:

  • Individual and couples therapy
  • Emotional issues such as anger and grief
  • Assessment for learning problems and gifted children
  • Sorting through sources of stress
Service fees are on a sliding scale.

The Counseling Clinic is a teaching clinic, primarily for second-year counseling students. The clinic specializes in a wide variety of clinical issues for children and adults, such as:

  • Grief and loss
  • Anger/emotion management
  • Decision making
  • Life transitions/family issues
Services are available at no cost.
