Detroit Mercy Theatre Company to present "The Grown Ups"

The play follows a group of camp counselors in the world of a remote sleepaway camp as they navigate the highs and lows of camp life. As they swap stories by the fire, form unlikely bonds, and challenge each other’s perspectives, an unsettling presence looms, forcing the counselors to examine their own values and the unpredictable forces beyond the campfire’s glow.

This designation puts UDM among just 216 other institutions nationwide to receive this distinction. It identifies research happening at colleges and universities that historically have not been recognized for their research activity, including institutions that do not offer many or any doctoral degrees.

Psychology Clinic

The Psychology Clinic is a teaching clinic, for doctoral students of clinical psychology. The clinic provides counseling, testing and assessment services including:

  • Individual and couples therapy
  • Emotional issues such as anger and grief
  • Assessment for learning problems and gifted children
  • Sorting through sources of stress
Service fees are on a sliding scale.

The Counseling Clinic is a teaching clinic, primarily for second-year counseling students. The clinic specializes in a wide variety of clinical issues for children and adults, such as:

  • Grief and loss
  • Anger/emotion management
  • Decision making
  • Life transitions/family issues
Services are available at no cost.

Theatre Company presents ‘The Grown Ups,’ April 4-6 and April 11-13

All are invited to join the Detroit Mercy Theatre Company for their performance 'The Grown Ups,' a dark satire about a group of camp counselors thrust into a struggle to shape the leaders of tomorrow amidst looming uncertainty and fraught relationships. Performance dates are April 4-6 and April 11-13, and tickets start at $10!

Faith and freedom tour rescheduled for April 6

All are welcome to join University Ministry and the African American Studies Program for a Faith and Freedom Tour in the D event on April 6! This day includes a trip to Second Baptist Church for Sunday service, a tour of the worship space and history of their involvement with the Underground Railroad and lunch in the city.
