The McNichols Campus makes an appearance in John Freeman's newest collection, as do a number of locations across Metro Detroit and Michigan. Also appearing are legendary Detroit sports figures, restaurants, bars and other hangouts.

Set in Italy in 1211, the play follows Clare, a wealthy medieval “It” girl whose privileged life is upended when she meets Francis, a man who has renounced his wealth and social status in service to the poor. Inspired by his radical devotion, Clare begins to reexamine her own life, questioning what it means to live with purpose and integrity.
February is Black History Month, and University of Detroit Mercy will celebrate with a series of enlightening events across all campuses.

Mike DiGiovanni ’70, ’72 has had many roles at the University, and his latest is dear to his heart. DiGiovanni's involvement with the GM Student Corps began in 2013 and has brought him once again back to Detroit Mercy, helping develop professional skills in the students, engage them in their communities and provide mentors and guidance as they progress.
